MAJU: A knowledge world of management sciences and technology
MOHAMMAD ALI JINNAH University was established in 1998 after the grant of a charter by the Government of Sindh. The University, unlike other institutions which have a degree awarding status only, enjoys the privileged status of a comprehensive university.
Mohammad Ali Jinnah University's prestigious and spacious Karachi Campus has acquired an enviable reputation for its facilities and quality of education offered. It has an excellent record of success in a wide range of academic and professional training courses.
Mohammad Ali Jinnah University follows a unique program of courses planned according to American system of education. The purpose of structuring course offerings with a blend of general education, humanities, social sciences and a field of specialization is to develop a balanced personality rather than a mechanistic one with little or no knowledge of the social environment in which one has to work. It also helps students identify their own areas of interest.
The varsity offers various undergraduate, postgraduate and doctorate programs in different disciplines such as Banking and Finance; Business Administration; Computer Science; Executive Education and Telecommunication & Networking.
It has assembled the finest faculty available for its campus in Karachi. They are highly qualified, experienced and dedicated to their profession. Many of our faculty members are foreign qualified Ph.Ds and masters degree holders. Their educational experience from abroad allows them to uphold our commitment to provide an education to the students that is at par with accredited foreign universities.
The faculty consists of specialists in their fields; many have published research and news articles. Moreover, they are dedicated to their craft and provide the knowledge, care and support that students need at this critical time in their lives.
Mohammad Ali Jinnah University seeks students of high intellectual ability and energy who will contribute to the strength and academic excellence of our community.
The curriculum offers the opportunity to pursue future goals with a variety of business and IT programs from self-exploration and collaboration with students of similar backgrounds in ways that prepare real-life situations.
Counseling is part of education to provide proper information about different fields and guideline for future prospects. To compliment academic life and help students make choices for the future, the advising and career counseling to assist students in shaping career is mandatory.
Student Advisors are dedicated faculty members, who also work with students as they select their courses and build their timetable. The guidance they offer is invaluable, as finding the right balance of courses maximizes students’ efficiency. Advisors services extend to examination anxiety, assertiveness and advice on special needs.
The University’s Placement Center offers a number of services to final year students for future employment. The Placement Center maintains close ties with the business community in order to adjust MAJU students at proper place, upon their graduation. Internships are also available to students exploring certain career paths. Seminars and information sessions are regularly organized to keep employers in touch with our valuable human resource base here at MAJU.
In addition to linkages with local and national businesses, MAJU maintains several academic and research collaborations in order to promote educational excellence in areas of reciprocal interest. Local and international collaboration efforts include National Engineering and Science Commission (NESCOM), Pakistan Agricultural Research Council (PARC), Workers Welfare Fund (WWF), University of Sterling (UK), Institute of Bankers, Pakistan (IBP) and AM Clinicals, which is sponsoring the setting up of a state-of-the-art Bio-informatics lab as well as working on joint research projects and offering internships and employment opportunities for MAJU graduates.
