TV training initiative for farmers

STAFF REORT KARACHI: In order to provide necessary training to farmers, the Tetra Pak, the world’s leading food processing and packaging solutions company, has launched a series of TV programmes, highlighting the benefits of the dairy hubs.

According to Azhar Ali Syed MD Tetra Pak, the 20-minute 15 TV programmes are the first of its kind consolidated and comprehensive dairy training knowledge aimed at enhancing millions of dairy farmers’ knowledge on farming techniques, diseases and vaccination.

“By using a popular mass medium like TV, we aim to impart useful knowledge and awareness among smallholder farmers and enhance dairy productivity in Pakistan,” he said.
He said that farming have less awareness about farming problems and enhancing the per acre yield, so this training initiative would help them a lot in improving their farming methods. The training covers a diverse range of subject matter incorporating themes such as silage, hay- making, deworming and mastitis, he said.
